Yorba Linda's beloved Adventure Playground is reopening on April 22nd with an exciting new look and upgraded amenities. This newly renovated playground in Orange County promises to be a place for exploration and fun for children of all ages after a $7 million renovation! Summer is a great time for students to explore their interests and learn new skills. For those interested in music, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) offers free summer programs through the Fender Middle School Music program. This program provides middle school and high school students with the opportunity to learn to play acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, or ukulele. Registration for the Fender summer enrichment program opens on Monday, April 3, 2023, and runs until Friday, April 28, 2023. Students who are currently enrolled in an LAUSD school and who are interested in learning to play an instrument can register for one course per student. Each student requires a separate registration form, and spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Fender Middle School Music program offers after-school virtual courses four days per week, from Monday to Thursday. Classes will be held online via the district's Schoology application. For the summer 2023 session, students will be able to choose between two schedules: Monday to Thursday 2:00-3:00 p.m. or 3:00-4:00 p.m. The summer session will run from June 26 to July 27.
