- Saving Money on Your Next Disney Trip: 15 Best Tips and Tricks! 🏰🐭
Disneyland is a magical place that can create unforgettable memories for families. However, the costs associated with a trip to Disneyland can add up quickly, making it an expensive vacation. Luckily, there are many ways to save money and still have a magical time at the park. Here, we will discuss some tips and tricks on how to save money on your next Disneyland trip. 🐭🐭 Tip 1: Plan Ahead One of the best ways to save money on your Disneyland trip is to plan ahead. This includes researching prices, discounts, and deals. You can also save money by visiting during off-peak seasons, such as the fall or winter, when ticket prices are lower. Tip 2: Book Your Tickets Wisely Disneyland offers several different types of tickets, including one-day and multi-day passes. If you plan to visit the park for multiple days, a multi-day pass is usually a better value. Additionally, you can save money by purchasing tickets online in advance, rather than buying them at the gate. Tip 3: Stay at a Hotel Off-Site Staying at a hotel off-site can be a great way to save money on your Disneyland trip. Many hotels offer free shuttle service to the park, and the rates are often much lower than staying at a hotel on Disneyland property. Tip 4: Bring Your Own Food and Drinks One of the biggest expenses at Disneyland is food and drinks. To save money, consider bringing your own snacks and drinks into the park. You can also save money by eating at off-site restaurants. Related: BIG List of Family-Friendly Hotels near Disneyland! Tip 6: Skip the Park Hopper Option The Park Hopper option allows you to visit both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park on the same day. However, it is more expensive than a regular ticket. Consider sticking to one park per day to save money. Tip 7: Bring Your Own Merchandise Buying merchandise can be expensive at Disneyland, especially when you have kids, and they want everything they see. Consider buying Disney-themed shirts, hats, or other items from outside merchants to give to your kids when they ask fort them at the park. Tip 8: Look for Free Parking Disneyland charges a high fee for parking in their lots. Consider parking off-site and using a shuttle service or finding free street parking nearby. Related: 7 Great Tips for Shorter Lines at Disneyland! Tip 9: Look for Discounts Pricing for Disneyland tickets fluctuates, but there are discounts to be found through retailers like Get Away Today or Undercover Tourist. You may also be able to find discounts for certain groups, such as members of the military, Florida residents, Southern California residents, and Disney Vacation Club members. Tip 10: Avoid Dining Packages Dining packages at Disneyland can be expensive. Consider eating at quick-service restaurants if you have to eat at the park. Tip 11: Consider Annual Passes If you plan to visit Disneyland multiple times in a year, it may be worth considering purchasing an annual pass, which offers significant discounts on tickets, merchandise, and dining. Tip 12: Use a Rewards Program Join a rewards program, such as Disney Rewards or a credit card rewards program, to earn points or cash back on your Disney purchases. You can redeem your rewards for discounted or free tickets, merchandise, and dining. Tip 13: Buy Discounted Tickets from AAA If you are a member of AAA, you can purchase discounted tickets to Disneyland. Check with your local AAA office for more information, or visit AAA website. Tip 14: Save on Genie+ Lightning Lane Passes The Genie+ Lightning Lane pass can save you hours of waiting in line, but it may not be necessary if you're visiting during off-peak times. Consider the wait times for popular rides and attractions before purchasing this add-on to ensure that you're getting the most value for your money. Tip 15: Consider Your Add-Ons Carefully When planning your Disneyland trip, consider the add-ons carefully. For example, if you're someone who values professional photos, a Disney PhotoPass or Memory Maker may be worth the investment. However, if you're okay with taking your own photos, you can save money by not purchasing these add-ons. Related: Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel Takes You to Disneyland for FREE! - How to Make Summer Camp Prep Easier for Parents! 🏕️🧳
Summer camp is an exciting time for kids. They’re meeting new people, learning new skills, and immersing themselves in the great outdoors! But for parents, summer camp can be a logistical nightmare. From packing to transportation to the emotions involved in sending their child off to camp, there are numerous tasks parents need to complete before drop-off day. And it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Fortunately, there are so many ways to make the process easier and less stressful. Start Camp Prep Early One of the best ways to make summer camp preparations easier for parents is to start early. As soon as you know when and where your child is going to camp, start gathering the necessary items they will need. Waiting until the last minute to start packing can lead to forgotten items and added stress. Create a packing list of essential items such as clothing, toiletries, and medications. Check with the camp to see if they have any specific requirements or restrictions for what can be brought to camp. If your child needs any special equipment or gear, make sure to order or purchase it well in advance. Create a Checklist A checklist can be a useful tool for parents when preparing for summer camp. Consider creating a digital or physical checklist that includes all the necessary steps to complete before leaving for camp, along with any important dates and deadlines. Ship Luggage to Camp Sending your child to summer camp for weeks at a time means lots…and lots…of baggage. Include your child's name, contact information, and the name of the camp on all labels. Use a waterproof marker or iron-on label to ensure the label remains legible throughout the duration of camp. Don’t Forget Necessary Documents Before your child heads off to camp, make sure you have all the necessary documents in order. This includes medical forms, insurance information, and any other important paperwork required by the camp. Check with the camp to see if they require any additional documentation, such as a copy of your child's birth certificate. Keeping all of these documents organized and in one place can help make the check-in process at camp go smoothly. Review Camp Rules Familiarize yourself with the camp's rules and regulations, including their policies on electronics, food, and medication. For example, if your child is not allowed to have electronics, consider packing some postcards, pens, and stamps so they can write home. Knowing what your child can and cannot bring will help prevent any surprises or misunderstandings during your child's stay at camp. Communicate Talk to your child about what to expect at camp and how they can prepare for it. This can help ease any anxieties they may have and make their experience more enjoyable. Starting early, creating a checklist, and shipping luggage to camp are all great ways to save time and effort so you and your child can fully enjoy the summer camp experience! - 15 Fun and Creative Passover Games and Activities for Kids! 🍷🏺
Passover is a special time of the year for the Jewish community, and it's important to make sure children understand the significance of the holiday. It's a time to remember and celebrate the story of the Jewish people's liberation from slavery in Egypt. But how do you teach your children about the history of Passover while keeping them engaged and entertained? Here are some fun Passover games and activities to do with kids that will teach them about the holiday's history and significance. Passover Seder Plate Craft One of the most important aspects of the Passover Seder is the Seder plate. The Seder plate holds symbolic foods that represent the story of Passover. You can make your own Seder plate with your children using paper plates, markers, and construction paper. Encourage your children to draw and color the various symbols of the Seder plate, such as the shank bone, egg, and bitter herbs. This activity is not only fun, but it also helps children understand the significance of each item on the Seder plate. The Afikomen Hunt The Afikomen is a piece of matzah that is hidden during the Seder and must be found by the children. This tradition is a fun way to keep kids engaged during the Seder, but it also has a deeper meaning. The Afikomen represents the broken matzah that was hidden by the Jewish people during their escape from Egypt. When the Afikomen is found, it is shared among the Seder participants. This activity teaches children about the importance of the Afikomen and the symbolism behind it. Passover Plagues Scavenger Hunt During the Passover story, there were ten plagues that affected Egypt. Why not turn this into a scavenger hunt for your children? Write the plagues on pieces of paper and Hide them around your house. Encourage your children to find all ten plagues and explain how each plague affected the Egyptians. This activity not only teaches children about the plagues but also gets them up and moving around the house.
