Underwood Family Farms

At Underwood Family Farms, you can enjoy the true farm experience. You get to pick your own fruits and vegetables on the fully operational working farm. It's a great day outdoors for the entire family! You can also enjoy the convenience of shopping at our Farm Market for the same field-fresh produce. The Farm Animal Center has farm animal displays, pony rides, activities and games. You can even host a child’s birthday party by reservation. Don’t miss Easter on the Farm, the Fall Harvest Festival every day in October and Christmas on the Farm in December! Admission to the entire Farm Center (excluding Festivals) is $3.00 Monday-Friday & $6.00 on the weekends and holidays.

Since 1940, Tanka Farm has been dedicated to providing families with quality products and educational experiences. The farm provides families with things to do all year round. They host Strawberry Tours March through June, Watermelon Tours July through August, and a Pumpkin Patch Tour from September to October. Tanaka Farms grows and harvests fresh produce right on the farm by using responsible farming methods. The produce stand is open seven days a week all year, except for a short winter break.

At Tapia Brothers Farm you'll find super fresh fruit and vegetables (though not organically farmed). From March to November, the kids will get a kick out of the chickens, goats and rabbits running around the place. Best known for its corn, tomatoes and luscious strawberries, Tapia Brothers Farm also has a pumpkin patch in October and sells Christmas trees in December.

At SaddleRock Gardens you get to hike and harvest. You’ll take off on a hike through the vineyards on the private estate of Saddlerock Ranch,  and explore organic vegetable garden where you will get to harvest fresh produce directly from the soil beneath your feet. You will get to bring home a bag of fresh produce you picked yourself. You can also enjoy a five course meal at the SAddleRock Gardens composed by a guest chef with vegetables grown in the organic farm. You get to explore the garden and talk to the gardeners. Dinner service is a combination of family platters and buffet style. The dinner is not recommended for kids under 6 years old.

Mission Hills

Visit the farm from March through December to learn what a working farm looks like, and to purchase fresh seasonal produce in the open air farm market, including corn, tomatoes, strawberries, cantaloupes, peaches, plums, nectarines, apples, beans, zucchini, watermelon, and much more. Forneris Farms also hosts a Harvest Festival every year from October 1st through 31st with a huge 10 acre corn maze, tractor train ride, pumpkin patch and more!

Oak Glen

Nestled in the apple growing foothills of historic Oak Glen, only 90 minutes from Los Angeles, Riley’s Farm is a working apple orchard and living history farm featuring pick-your-own fruit, living history education, dinner theatre, extended historically-themed overnight stays, and Glam Camping. Riley’s Farm offers a diverse variety of tours ranging from the beginning of America’s revolution to the Gold Rush of 1848! Children will love a visit to the Animal Acres farm sanctuary, which focuses on rescuing and protecting farm animals. Guided Tours are offered every Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays year-round, wherein kids may pet and cuddle cows, pigs, turkeys, and other farm animals. Tours are held at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.  Tours cost $10 for adults, $5 for children 4-12, and children under 3 are free.

McGarth Family Farm is a sustainable farm that grows a high diversity of year-round organic fruits and vegetables. The McGrath Family farm features educational tours where kids may feed and handle farm animals, and pick fruits, vegetables, and even flowers. The tours are $10 per person.  Self guided animal visits are $4 per person.

Leona Valley

Big John's Cherries is family owned, U-pick cherry farm, about a 90 minute drive from Los Angeles. They grow over 10 varieties of cherries, both sweet and sour, on two and half acres of picturesque Leona Valley. At Big John’s Cherries you get to pick your own cherries from late May through early July. Check out the farm in late March for their lilac and lavender season. In addition to cherries you can also find cherry blossom honey, amazingly fragrant lavender, Persian mulberries, and blackberries at the orchard.
