There will be 40 to 80 tons of snow at 34 Los Angeles County Parks in December for Parks After Dark's enchanting Winter Wonderland experience. It will be a holiday celebration for the entire family with more snow, more toys, more craft activities, and more fun than ever before! And It's all FREE!
Parks After Dark has created wintry paradises in local parks complete with sled runs, photo opportunities, snack stations, holiday treats, and craft villages where children can decorate their own holiday stockings!
There will be a toy giveaway for children ages 0 to 17 (while supplies last). For young adults, there will be a Teen Zone where they can hang out with their friends, create and design art, listen to music, and silkscreen holiday shirts in addition to other activities.
Also this year, certain parks will offer Mega Snow days with 80 tons of snow. These parks include Earvin “Magic” Johnson Park, Val Verde Park, Belvedere Park, El Cariso Park, Loma Alta Park, Ted Watkins Park, Roosevelt Park, and Valleydale Park.
The L.A. County Parks Winter Wonderland is possible thanks to the generosity of Los Angeles Department of Social Services, Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, and the L.A. County Probation Department.
