This summer, kids can enjoy delicious and free lunch at selected public libraries. The free lunch is for kids 2 through 18.
The California Summer Meal Coalition, and California Library Association working together offer summer meals and programming designed to provide nourishment and help prevent summer learning loss for children and teens in low-income communities.
They welcome all, and they provide access, free of charge, to resources that support the community’s lifelong needs. By serving free meals and offering complementary literacy programs during the summer, they are feeding children during the summer and engaging low-income families with local public libraries.
Visit the following libraries Monday through Friday, from June 10th to August 9th, 2019 to taste the special summer menu. Lunch is served between 12:30 through 1:30 p.m., and is absolutely free.
