L.A.'s brightest holiday tradition returns between Nov 17, 2023, to Jan 07, 2024. Explore an immersive landscape filled with dazzling new lantern sculptures of animals among blooming flowers, towering trees, and more, for a nature-focused holiday celebration that’s as inspiring as it is breathtaking. This year’s experience features all-new seasonal wonders, including a magical Winter Wildlands with majestic pine trees, glowing ice crystals, snow-loving animals, views of the “northern lights,” and spectacular photo spots for the ultimate holiday snaps.


The internationally acclaimed Lightscape is the must-see holiday event for 2023. Wander through the magnificent Winter Cathedral, view the mesmerizing water fountains, experience the breathtaking Fire Garden and more. Lightscape transforms the Arboretum into a night of wonder and light for an unforgettable holiday event for family and friends. Lightscape at the La Arboretum will be happening between November 17, 2023 through January 2, 2024.


South Coast Botanic Garden presents GLOW, a visually stunning art installation that will transform the lush botanic oasis into an oceanic experience for the Garden Lights & Ocean Waters theme using thousands of lights. GLOW has not yet announced its 2023 dates. Please come back for more information.


Enchanted: Forest of Light is an interactive nighttime experience from Nov 19, 2023, through Jan 7, 2024. The event route is about 1 mile long and takes most visitors about one hour to complete. We recommend allowing one and a half hours to experience Enchanted. It is accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, and mobility assistance devices.


Expansive grounds filled with eye-catching, twinkling lights and festive installations will welcome you as you meander through the winding trail in each city. You will be transported into a winter wonderland complete with everything from the North Pole, Elf Village, Gingerbread Lane, light tunnels, Christmas tree forests, and much more. Paved with candy-cane wishes and mistletoe dreams, Take a stroll down the road as sweet as it seems. This event is from November 24, 2023 through December 27, 2024.


Experience a winter wonderland at Yuletide Cinemaland as you enter through the Twinkling Light Tunnel made up of more than 20,000 lights! This enchanting village invites you to explore Santa-approved photo opps and picturesque Victorian-era homes dressed for the holidays. Each night features two screenings of holiday films like Elf, Home Alone, A Christmas Story, and other classic favorites. Plus you will have a visit from Santa Claus so have your cameras ready! Street Food Cinema has not yet announced its 2023-2024 dates. Please come back for more information.


The City of Los Angeles will once again be presenting The Hollywood Christmas Parade! This year is the 90th anniversary of the parade, and will be the best year yet! Starting on Hollywood Blvd. at Orange Drive the U-shaped parade route will travel east to Vine, south on Vine St to Sunset Blvd., and west on Sunset Blvd. back to Orange Drive. The Parade is happening on Nov 26, 2023, at 6 pm. This event is free and open to all, but you can also purchase VIP tickets.


Skate under the stars at the only 8,000-square-foot outdoor ice rink on the Westside. No timed sessions, and no limits. The all-day skate pass lets you skate to your heart's content and includes re-entry. Ice at Santa Monica is open from November 1, 2023 through January 5, 2023.


Visit Santa in his North Pole Cabin where the fire is always warm and the memories last a lifetime! The Jolly One enjoys visits from all good girls and boys in his cozy cabin. This year, Santa will be waiting to greet you from his desk where he makes the Good List! Just outside Santa’s front door, feel the icy North Pole and watch it glow with the power of the Northern lights. This pole marks Santa’s Village at Sky Park as part of the magical North Pole. Santa' village is happening from November 16, 2023, to January 7, 2024.


Nutcrackers come and go, but only one is so spectacular, so charming, so heart-warming and memorable that it has become Southern California’s favorite. Voted “Best-Loved Nutcracker in the Nation” by Goldstar audience survey in 2018 and 2019, the Long Beach Nutcracker returns to the Terrace Theater December 16th – 23, 2023. Tickets start at $35 per person.


Southern California’s LARGEST gingerbread competition with over 200 entries is happening at Discovery Cube Los Angeles from November 18th through January 7th! From the apprentice builder to the professional and everything in between, this display is like no other! In the spirit of building, making and competition, this program features learning experiences designed with the engineer in mind. Also visit Santa Claus on these dates: November 18, 19, 24, 25, 26. December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, and 31.


Experience the enchantment of Winter Lights, a holiday spectacle featuring a million twinkling lights, snowfall, and oversized decorations perfect for group exploration. Your ticket grants access to both the Holiday Show and the Festival, where you can stroll through a massive holiday tunnel, engage with interactive Brite Lites displays, enjoy snowfall interactions, test your aim in a snowball toss, listen to singing snowmen, explore a grand Ice Castle Play Structure, step inside a colossal snowglobe, and even craft your own light bulb snowglobe at Jean Luc's workshop. Experience the enchantment of the holiday season at Capistrano Lights: Mission in Lights, a signature event that offers a range of ticket options from $9 to $20. Visit Orange County's unique Mission on select days from December 2 through December 30 and enjoy full-day admission to the Mission from 9 AM to 6 PM. The holiday magic truly comes alive from 3 PM to 6 PM with special programming and festive fun. Please note that the Mission closes at 6 PM (except for the opening night when it closes at 8 PM). Mission Members can also benefit from discounts on tickets, but keep in mind that there is limited capacity, so reservations are required. Free Holiday Events and Festivals of Lights


Get ready to kick off the holiday season with a blast at the Official City of Santa Monica Holiday Tree Lighting event! It's all happening on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, right smack in the heart of the 1300 Block of Third Street Promenade, between Santa Monica Boulevard and Arizona Avenue. This shindig promises loads of fun and festive vibes as we flip the switch to light up our dazzling holiday tree. You won't want to miss this merry extravaganza! Join the jolly crowd and let the holiday spirit take over!


The beloved three-hour showcase of L.A. based artists will air on PBS SoCal for those who cannot attend in person. The Emmy Award-winning holiday show features choirs, music ensembles, and dance companies representing the many cultures of Los Angeles. This event is happening on December 24, 2023, from 3 pm to 6pm, and is FREE and open to the public.


Get ready for a dazzling night of holiday magic at the Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration! On November 16, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., the iconic Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills will transform into a winter wonderland as the city ushers in the holiday season with a spectacular lighting ceremony. This year's kickoff event promises to be a showstopper, spanning all three blocks of Rodeo Drive.


You can look forward to live entertainment, including a special performance by Emmy Award-winning actor and singer Sheryl Lee Ralph, festive decorations, Santa Claus's grand arrival, and a breathtaking fireworks display to cap off the evening. Best of all, this holiday extravaganza, sponsored by the City of Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive Committee, is entirely free and open to the public.


Bringing holiday magic to Greystone’s historic mansion and gardens, Holidays at Greystone returns with spectacularly festive décor that will incorporate fun experiences, multicultural themes and decorations, live caroling and dancing, craft-making and storytelling, and a fantastic show in the newly-restored Greystone Theatre by the beloved Bob Baker Marionette Theater. This beloved annual tradition at Greystone will be happening on December 2, 2023 from 9 am to 5pm.




Parks After Dark is back for the winter season, offering extended hours and a fantastic array of free recreational activities at 31 LA County parks. Gather your family and friends and head to an LA County Parks location for a host of winter delights, including snow days, sports, exercise classes, dancing, healthy cooking lessons, outdoor movies, concerts, computer courses, health outreach programs, and social service resource fairs.

From December 2 to 22, 2023, you can enjoy these activities on Fridays from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturdays from either 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. . Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity for fun and togetherness!

Experience a magical holiday show as 18 million hues of lights illuminate the night and synchronize to festive tunes. SPARKLE DTLA at The Bloc will take you through an unforgettable nighttime journey that includes one of LA’s largest multi-colored interactive holiday displays. Capture your perfect photo-op moments at this ultimate holiday experience from Nov 17, 2023, through Dec 31, 2023.


Candy Cane Lane is a group of homeowners at Lubao & Oxnard Streets in Woodland Hills who collectively decide each year to put on an amazing holiday display of lights and decorations. For over 60 years, these eight blocks have been blanketed in lights. The displays light up stars the second Saturday in December and last through the end of the year.



Holidays at Universal CityWalk spectacular 40-foot tall Christmas tree will glisten with 200,000 LED icicles choreographed to the lights and sounds of the season as the magic of the holidays comes to life in the “5 Towers” outdoor plaza. CityWalk’s iconic, dancing water fountain with over 230 individual power jets will continue to mesmerize guests when it projects streams of choreographed water into the air complemented by red and green LED lights and an array of holiday-themed music.


The Annual Mission Inn Hotel & Spa Festival of Lights will commence on November 18, 2023 until January 7, 2024. For 30 years the Festival of Lights has brought everyone tremendous joy in presenting it to this wonderful Inland Southern California community. The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa's Annual Festival of Lights accents the holidays in a very special way. This annual holiday event will include dazzling holiday lights on the front of the hotel, animated characters and much more. Lights will be on the exterior of the front of the hotel!


Say hello to Santa this season as he takes a ride on the Trolley each night at the Americana at Brand, complete with festive flurries of snow to make your experience all the more magical from November 16 – December 25. Santa is available on select dates.




Drive through the neighborhood of upper Hasting Ranch and enjoy a festival of lights and parkway displays. This tradition began in 1951 when a few Ranch families decorated their driveways with luminaria to guide Santa Claus. It continued when a homeowner created the first wooden parkway display and the competition was on! Join to see the themed streets and creative decorations. Come back for dates.


Don't miss the 2023 Holiday Tree Lighting event on November 30th from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Town Plaza, located at 9300 Culver Blvd in Culver City. Downtown Culver City is thrilled to reintroduce snow and sledding to this year's Annual Tree Lighting Sled-tacular! To experience the snowy fun, make sure to register in advance and sign the required waiver, ensuring a smooth entrance to the sledding activities. The charming Town Plaza will once again host a magnificent 22-foot holiday tree, setting the stage for a memorable holiday kickoff celebration. Get ready for a festive evening of joy and sledding delights!


Catch Fresno’s seasonal tribute to the holidays known as Christmas Tree Lane. Drive through a 2-mile path to witness the dazzling light display of 140 residential homes located between Shields Avenue and Shaw Avenue. This event is free but donations are encouraged. December 1st-25th, 2023 from 6-10 pm.


From November 11, 2023, to January 8, 2024, the Reagan Foundation is bringing back the jolly festivities with Christmas Around the World at the Reagan Library! Get ready for 26 stunningly decorated trees representing countries President Reagan visited during his time in office, along with a dazzling White House Tree. Think Caribbean colors, Nordic crystals, and European classics – it's a global holiday extravaganza!


Don't miss the Vatican tree with its white ornaments and a life-sized white peacock. And, there's a replica of President and Mrs. Reagan's White House tree, decked in "Reagan Red" and hand-blown glass ornaments. Plus, a heartwarming "Gold Star Family Memorial Tree" where you can add an ornament for your loved one. It's all free, so come on down to the Reagan Library, open every day except Thanksgiving, December 2nd, Christmas, and New Year's Day.


Get ready to spread holiday cheer from November 27 to December 9 at Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District! Write a letter to Santa, drop it in the big red mailbox at the Community Center, and Santa will send you a reply. Share a pic on social media with #PVRPDLettersToSanta for extra fun. On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., the Community Room at Camarillo Library will be transformed into a magical space for all ages to enjoy. Santa and Mrs. Claus will take center stage, sharing delightful holiday tales and singing festive songs. After the storytelling session, children will have the wonderful opportunity to meet Santa in person and capture precious moments with photos. This heartwarming event is made possible by the Friends of the Camarillo Library, and it promises to be a memorable experience for everyone.


On Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the city of Camarillo invites you to join in on the holiday cheer at Community Center Park. Gather your chairs and blankets as the Annual Christmas Parade takes center stage, lining the streets with festive enchantment. Holiday Cruises and Boat Parades


Watch the 61st annual Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade on December 9, 2023. Catch a brief fireworks display at 5:55 p.m. before the parade begins. Enjoy musical entertainment from carolers, food truck fare, and photo opportunities from 6-8 p.m. The Fireworks site is on the jetty near the entrance of the main channel. All boats will begin circling the main channel of the Marina at 6:00 PM.

Celebrate the holidays at the Underwood Family Farms from November 24, 2023, through December 24, 2023, and enjoy holiday photo-ops, animal center, tractor-drawn wagon rides, pick your own fruits and veggies, visits with Santa, and more! California Sleigh Rides with Draft Horses and The Holiday Train are available on weekends only for an additional fee and can be purchased at admissions. The jolliest time of the year is almost here, as Holidays at LEGOLAND® kicks off on November 18th! This festive celebration will run from November 18th through 26th, December 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th through 30th, and January 1st through 7th, so there are plenty of chances to join in the holiday fun.
