Virtual Holiday and Christmas Events To Enjoy From Comfort Of Your Home!

Even though there are many drive-thru events emerging for the holidays throughout the city, many LA families are more comfortable to stay home this year and celebrate the holidays with the family at home. Here, we have found you the best virtual events that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own couch!




See Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker from the comfort of your couch! Take a trip backstage with the cameras for a look at how the magic is made. You can see the full performance as captured on stage plus an up close look at the behind-the-scenes action. This event is from December 19, 2020 through January 2, 2021. Tickets are on sale via Goldstar starting $19.99.


Christmas comes early with Holiday Online Trivia Night! Host Suzie the Elf will be your guide with 50 questions ranging from Miracle on 34th Street, Frosty the Snowman, and “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” to Meet Me in St. Louis, Ebenezer Scrooge, and much more! The first place winner gets bragging rights, a $150 State Theatre gift certificate, and a State Theatre swag bag. Online Trivia Night will be hosted on Zoom on December 9th at 7:00 pm on your desktop computer and played on a smartphone-based trivia game called Kahoot. A minimum donation of $5 allows you to participate.


Gather the whole family around the TV, computer, or tablet. The Elves have “prepared” an amazing show brought to you by the folks at Improv 4 Kids!. Each show includes 30-minutes of interactive musical comedy, completely improvised based on audience suggestions and participation. Then Santa leads you in a holiday sing along of Christmas Classics. Each registration includes one log on to ZOOM showroom. VIP Registrations will get a private moment in a breakout room with Santa to Share wish lists. You can record these private sessions. Also, the Elves will invite VIP guests up for interactive games. This event is from November 29th through December 13th. Tickets are on sale via Goldstar and start at $15.


In a series of six short plays commissioned by Out of Box Theatrics, people of all walks of life navigate their way through the highs and lows of living in the city during the holidays. From cynical Christmas elves to awkward family gatherings to heartwarming holiday magic, New York City during the holidays offers a fresh start unlike anywhere else. This event is from December 14, 2020 through December 18, 2020. Tickets are on sale on Goldstar and start at $14. These series may not be appropriate for kids.


Whether it’s playing piano, dancing, acting, singing or doing over 100 impressions of the top super stars in the world, The Edwards Twins will WOW all age groups from 5 years old to 100. If you love vocal impressionists like Rich little or Danny Ganz or shows like La Cage or Legends In Concerty You will love The Edwards Twins and their DEAD ON impressions of Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli Bette Midler, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, Tina Turner, Cher, Rod Stewart, Pavarotti, Diana Ross, Elvis, Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles, just to name a few all in one show. This livestream show is on December 20, 2020 at 7:30 pm. The tickets are on sale on Goldstar for $20.


Holiday music is what helps to make the season “the most wonderful time of the year.” All of your Holiday favorites that you have grown to love from the award winning New Tradition Chorus are available December 1 through December 31,2020 virtually. Tickets are on sale for $10 only on Goldstar.


Your every dream will come true as five knockout voices sing the petticoats off every princess and holiday song in the book, sharing hilarious and heartfelt stories of their royal antics backstage, on stage and beyond! Critics call the show: “spectacular,” “enchanting,” “empowering". This event is online and is happening on December 12, 2020 at 8 pm. Tickets are $25 on Goldstar.


Nutcracker Rouge: Cocktails & Burlesque at Home

With live entertainment stalled in New York City for the foreseeable future, Company XIV will stream excerpts from Nutcracker Rouge for patrons to view online. The company recorded 8 brand new and signature acts at Théâtre XIV. Subsequent acts featuring circus, singing, and sultry burlesque will be released weekly from November 26th through New Year’s Eve. Tickets are $150 on Goldstar.
