The Rooms
The hotel features 884 newly renovated rooms including 101 suites, 400 King guestrooms, and 383 Queen-Queen guestrooms, some with a view of Santa Rosa Mountains and surrounding Coachella, making it perfect for families of all sizes.
The rooms are elegantly decorated with plush bedding, hardwood floors, modern furnishings, and mountain-inspired murals in hues of blue, gray, and crisp white. Spa-like bathrooms feature quartz vanities and rain-style showers. All rooms have wireless internet, Coffee/tea maker, Mini-refrigerator, and a 50in LED TV with premium movie channels, cable, and Netflix.
When you wake up in the plush comfortable beds in your room after a day of fun, you will be recharged for another day of fun in the resort by the pool!
Activities at JW Marriot Desert Springs
The Pools
The resort features five outdoor pools including a saltwater lap pool, family pool, and chilled Oasis pool. You'll be sure to beat the desert heat in one of the beautiful pools at the resort.
You can enjoy poolside bites, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at Oasis Bar & Grille, and seasonal live entertainment. Cabanas, day beds, and Poolside Chaise Lounge Chairs are also available for rent, making your stay more relaxing.
The Game Room
The brand new JW Entertainment Zone is a 12,000 sq. ft. arcade featuring new and retro arcade games, duckpin bowling, sports simulators, World's Largest PacMan, air hockey, prizes and so much more!
Your kids would love to play in the game room after splashing in the pool all day, and you can use this time to pamper yourself at the spa, or join your kids and challenge them to a basketball game or a car race at the game room.
Scenic Waterways
Unique to Desert Springs, embark on an enchanting and leisurely tour of scenic waterways with your family departing in the Lobby of the hotel. Once outside, keep an eye out for Koi Fish, Black Swans, and more unique wildlife around the Resort!
Adventurer Passport
Families can engage in nature walks, family yoga, educational flamingo feedings, ice cream socials, scavenger hunts, trivia nights, and more. With JW Family Passport, you can have your passport stamped after participating in a wide array of activities and redeem prizes from the resort’s treasure chest.
You can purchase the JW Family Adventurer Passport at the front desk for $55 per child (12 and under). The passports are currently available Thursday through Monday.
You can also book different kids and family activities at the resort for $10 to $15 per activity.
Golf Experience
Framed by the Santa Rosa mountains, both the Palm and Valley courses showcase spectacular water placement, striking green fairways, and towering palm trees, setting the stage for the ultimate Palm Springs golf experience.
The resort boasts two 18-hole championship courses. The Palm Course is more family-friendly. Kids 15 and younger can golf for free after 3 pm with a paying adult. We highly recommend reserving a tee time in advance online because golfing at the JW Marriot is very popular.
Tennis Complex & Family Lawn Games
JW Marriot Desert Springs features 20 tennis courts including hard, grass, clay, and pickleball courts. Professional training and tournament services are also available. Also enjoy the sunshine while playing family lawn games at the Desert Springs Tennis Club featuring croquet, lawn bowling, badminton, horseshoes, basketball, and bocce ball. $10.00 per family, per day (free with the guest's payment of the hotel's resort fee). Equipment is available in the tennis shop on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Spa at Desert Springs
The resort day spa offers a wide array of treatments, including massages, facials, body treatments, and an adult-only saltwater pool. Pamper yourself while kids play in the game room and come back home refreshed and new!
Desert Springs Spa Fitness Center
The State of the art Technogym gym is equipped with a variety of Cardiovascular Equipments, Exercise Bikes, Rowing Machines, Treadmills, and much more. The fitness center also features locker rooms, sauna rooms, and steam rooms, and you can enjoy yoga and aerobics classes. Oasis Poolside Bar & Grille
Dine on light bites of American-style cuisine and your favorite libation at Oasis Poolside Bar & Grille. This restaurant is perfect for having a casual dining experience or grabbing a quick bite to enjoy by the pool while kids are playing. This restaurant is open from 10 am to 6 pm. The servers are also available by the pool to take your orders.
Rockwood Grill
Rockwood Grill offers amazing water views from its patio, serving breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They also have buffet-style breakfasts. This restaurant is open every day from 7 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 10 pm. You can walk-in or reserve a table online.
Aquifer65 & The JW Sushi Bar
Aquifer65 is the newest and boldest experience at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. They serve delectable small plates of tantalizing Japanese fare, as well as tempting craft cocktails nightly. Aquifer65 is open on Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to 12 am, and Monday through Friday from 4 pm to 12 am. You can book a table by calling 760-341-2211.
Mikado Japanese Steakhouse
Experience a unique authentic Japanese cuisine at Mikado Japanese Steakhouse at the resort. Your entire family would love being entertained by talented chefs cooking the food right on your table with huge grills. Mikado is open for dinner from 5 pm to 8 pm Thursday through Sunday. We highly recommend making reservations in advance.
Blue Star Lounge
This lively lounge opens for lunch and dinner and features an inviting indoor lounge and charming outdoor patio with fire pits. You will be entertained with live entertainment on Fridays & Saturdays while enjoying California bar bites and cocktails. Blue Star is open every day from 11 am to 12 am.
T&T Innovation Kitchen
T&T Innovation Kitchen features a five-course tasting menu designed by restaurant chefs, who mix and mingle offering their insights on each course. This restaurant is only available for private events.
Starbucks
If you want to have a fast bite or you are just craving a cup of coffee, head in to Starbucks for a rich cup of coffee, delectable pastry, or freshly made sandwiches and snacks.
Fisherman's Landing
If you like seafood, we highly recommend a visit to Fisherman's Landing for lunch or dinner. Here you can enjoy freshly-caught seafood and local produce, as well as decadent desserts at the award-winning Fisherman's Landing restaurant. Fisherman's Landing is open daily from 11 am to 8 pm Sunday through Thursday, and 11 am to 9 pm, Friday through Saturday.
Spa Bistro
