Cheviot Hills Recreation Center is Offering Virtual Summer Camp & Classes!

Since kids can't attend a physical summer camp this year, many facilities are offering Virtual Summer Camps for kids to enjoy and keep busy over the summer. Cheviot Hills Recreation has also announced that it will be offering virtual summer camp programs and classes for the summer of 2020!

Among summer camp programs and classes that are offered by Cheviot Hills Recreation Center are:

Virtual Yoga Camp

The classes are offered for ages 5 and up, and are lead by instructor Zara Bennett. Zara teaches gentle yoga and has worked extensively with LA public schools to bring yoga and mindfulness to students. The classes are for 10 weeks and are only $60 per person. The kids yoga classes are scheduled for Wednesdays from 4pm to 4:45 pm.

Virtual Dance Camp

The Virtual Dance classes start on June 12, 2020 till August 14, 2020 and are scheduled for Fridays only for ages 1 through 8, including parent & me dance classes. The times vary based on your kid's age.

Virtual Violin Lessons

This class is for beginner-level to advanced-level players wishing to learn violin for the first time, or continue their learning on the instrument. The classes are lead by instructor Seth Hansen. Seth has been playing violin since age of 8 years old and is experienced with a wide variety of genres. The classes are offered to ages 7 & up and start on June 8, 2020 and continue till August 13, 2020 on Mondays and Thursdays from 3pm to 7pm.

Summer Virtual Private Guitar Lessons

Learn guitar chords and scales through playing popular songs. Also classical lessons are available with age appropriate method books. Emphasis is always on fun but if you have daily practice time available, you will actually learn how to play guitar! These classes are offered for kids all ages. The private lessons are available at different times and start on June 9, 2020 for $168 for 10 weeks.

You must use your own device to attend the classes virtually. To register, you need to create an account at Reg.LAParks.org.
