Skirball Cultural Center

The Skirball features an extraordinary museum, changing exhibitions, engaging music, theater, comedy, film, family, and literary programs, Zeidler's Café, Audrey's Museum store, and an interactive family destination inspired by the Noah's Ark story—all in a stunning architectural setting designed by renowned architect Moshe Safdie. Play, climb, build, explore, make believe, and make friends–all while exploring a floor-to-ceiling wooden ark, filled to the rafters with whimsical animals.


Free Days


Noah’s Ark tickets are free every Thursdya. Free Thursdays are available on a walk-up basis only and distributed first-come, first-served, subject to availability (no advance tickets). Admission to Ruby Gallery exhibitions, located outside Zeidler's Café, is Free to all every day.




Choose from an array of public programs at the Skirball, including the best in world music, new and classic films, thought-provoking readings and talks, adult education classes on cultural history, art and literature, and more—as well as engaging programs for the whole family.


Also watch out for popular annual offerings, like the summertime Sunset Concerts and Family Amphitheater Performances, the Skirball Puppet Festival every spring, and the Hanukkah Family Festival.

Featuring serene garden patios, spacious courtyards, and majestic ballrooms, the Skirball Cultural Center is a popular, award-winning destination for weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, proms, graduations, and other milestones. On April 6, the Skirball campus will reopen to Skirball Members for Noah’s Outdoor Explorers. Specially created for families with young children and inspired by the messages and meaning of Noah’s Ark at the Skirball™, this new Member program will offer an array of meaningful experiences out in the fresh air.  


On May 15, Skirball opens their doors to the general public with the Southern California debut of Ai Weiwei: Trace, a compelling new exhibition by the famed contemporary artist. 


    All exhibitions, including Noah's Ark at the Skirball™, are included with Museum admission. Fees are as follows:

    $12 General
    $9 Seniors (65 and up), Full-Time Students with ID, and Children over 12
    $7 Children 2–12
    FREE to Skirball Members and Children under 2
    FREE to all on Thursdays




    The Skirball is proud to offer FREE admission to the Skirball Museum galleries, including Noah’s Ark at the Skirball, to the following visitors.*

    • Golden State Advantage Card (EBT Card) holders, through the Museums for All initiative (limit 6 per visit)
    • Active duty military service members, each with one guest
    • Active duty military families, as part of the Blue Star Museums program (limit 6 per visit, June–August only; program subject to change)
    • Police officers, firefighters, clergy members, and Pre-K−12 teachers (limit varies; please inquire)
    • Visitors with Federal Disability identification (limit 1 per ID) and, if applicable, their caregiver (no ID required)
