As California is starting to reopen slowly, two of L.A.'s most beautiful gardens, the L.A. County Arboretum, and South Coast Botanic Garden, have also opened their doors to visitors.

South Coast Botanic Gardens are open for walk or hike, but you are required to make reservations through their online system in advance so that they can control number of people that enter the garden. You are also required to wear protective face coverings during your visit, and practice social distancing. The Garden will be closed on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10th.
At the L.A. County Arboretum tickets are limited to preserve safe distancing. Members are required to reserve free tickets online prior to visiting. Non-members must buy tickets online in advance. When visiting, you are required to wear a mask or other face covering. The Arboretum is also closed Mother’s Day, May 10.
It is also recommended to take your own drinking water as water is not available onsite. All indoor spaces at both gardens are closed and all classes, events, and tours activities are suspended through May 15th.

Gardens often bring peace, beauty, and a refreshing connection to nature, offering a space where flowers, trees, and greenery can thrive while people enjoy relaxation and fresh air. Maintaining them, however, may sometimes require removing old stumps or clearing space for new plants, and there could be a chance that someone considers the stump grinder rental cost as part of their gardening plans. With the right care, tools, and thoughtful planning, there is always a possibility that a simple garden can turn into a more vibrant and inviting place to spend time, creating both comfort and natural charm.
