SeaWorld San Diego Reopens After A Long Wait!

After almost a year, San Diego Sea World has reopened its doors to general public on February 5, 2021 as a zoo and aquarium. This means only the outdoor animal-focused areas, select restaurants and shows are open.



You get to stroll through over hundred acres of beautiful outdoor grounds filled with lively animal exhibits including dolphins, sea lions, bat rays, sea otters, turtles, and more. Recapture the wonder of SeaWorld’s renowned live educational presentations with physically distanced seating including the park’s newest presentation, Rescue Tails!


Rescue Tails is an exciting and educational new addition to SeaWorld San Diego, which shares the story of SeaWorld’s Conservation Ambassadors, animal care and rescue stories that teaches about SeaWorld’s commitment to animal care and rescue. You will get to meet many of the park’s rescued animals, such as birds of prey, primates, and reptiles, and learn about their unique stories.

Just inside the park entrance, you’ll find your first real amazing opportunity to interact with sea life at Explorer’s Reef. Explorer’s Reef is a series of touch pools, home to several species of reef sharks, and is a great way to begin your day. Animal Care Ambassadors will be there to welcome you, and share interesting insights about these awesome animals.


At Pacific Point, have fun getting to know seals and sea lions. You can even get a chance to feed these famously fun animals.



If you love dolphins, get an exclusive guided tour with poolside opportunity to meet, feed and learn to communicate with dolphins. Reservation are necessary for this tour, which is not included in your entry admission. This experience is $69 per person.


Up your selfie game on a one-of-a-kind encounter with a two-toed sloth! Animal experts will share their knowledge of these sweet animals. During this 15-20 minute encounter, you'll go behind the scenes at Dolphin Amphitheater for an up-close experience with SeaWorld's very own two-toed sloths. Reservation are necessary for this experience, which is not included in your park admission. This experience is $79 per person.


With plenty of outdoor seating you can also enjoy chef-crafted culinary items, along with craft beers and cocktails (for adults only).


The park is open on select days with limited capacity. Reservations are required for your visit. Single day tickets are $63.99 per person for adults and kids over age of 3. Kids 2 and younger are free. You should purchase your tickets online, and must make a reservation for your visit. Check the park's calendar for openings and available shows and events.

Sesame Street Parade of Lights Drive-Thru Experience


At this limited drive thru, which is only happening on February 4, 5, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, & 24 from 5:30pm - 8:00pm, you get to experience SeaWorld in an entirely new way! For the first time ever, and from the comfort of your own car, journey through twinkling lights, dance to a lively Sesame Street soundtrack, and wave hi to your favorite furry friends.



After passing through the entrance, begin your journey through thousands of dazzling lights lined with your Sesame Street friends physically distanced on parade floats while listening to Sesame Street music along the way. The excitement continues as you venture under the illuminated SkyTower to snap photos, drive under two different tunnels of lights, and cruise through Sesame Street Village. Make your experience even sweeter with tasty treats such as soft pretzels, cotton candy, and hot cocoa available to enjoy in the car with limited contact purchasing.


This experience is $49.99 per vehicle. You need to purchase your tickets online.
