San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park Are Reopening This Month!

San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park announced today that they will be reopening both parks as of January 30, 2021.



Due to COVID-19, in order to keep our community safe, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and San Diego Zoo have implemented a reservation system for entry. All visitors ages 3 and up are required to have either a ticket, or a membership and a reservation.

In addition, health screenings are required for all guests prior to entry to either parks. Expect wait times during busy peak periods.

For members with reservations during the closure, your reservation will be released and no further action on your part is needed at this time. If you purchased a date-specific ticket, it will be honored for one year from the date of purchase.


Due to COVID-19 protocols, the Zoo and Safari Park are operating with limited capacity. Visitors without a pre-purchased ticket and members without a date-specific reservation may be turned away because of capacity limits.
