LEGOLAND California 2027 Annual Passes: What Families Should Know Before Buying
A theme-park pass can be a smart family purchase—or an expensive card that spends most of the year in a drawer. The difference usually comes down to blockout dates, parking and how often your family will realistically make the drive to Carlsbad.
LEGOLAND California is currently offering 2027 annual passes that can be used for the remainder of 2026 and through January 4, 2028. The offer ends October 7, 2026. That sounds simple, but the three pass levels include very different benefits and restrictions.

Standard Pass: The Lowest Price, With the Most Blockout Dates
The $189 Standard Pass includes admission to the theme park and SEA LIFE Aquarium on eligible dates. It currently carries 86 blockout dates and does not include free parking. Standard passholders can buy a $49 ticket at the gate for certain blocked dates, subject to availability and restrictions.
This level may fit a family with a flexible calendar that can visit on quieter weekdays or non-peak weekends. It is less convenient for school-age families whose available dates line up with holidays and popular event weekends. Parking costs also matter: a lower pass price can lose some of its advantage after several paid parking days.
Preferred Pass: Fewer Blockouts and Free Parking
The $289 Preferred Pass includes the theme park, SEA LIFE Aquarium, the Water Park and three additional regional attractions listed by LEGOLAND: Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas and SEA LIFE Arizona. It includes free regular parking and 10% discounts on several in-park purchases.
The current comparison lists 13 blockout dates, concentrated during September and October Brick-or-Treat days. This may be the practical middle option for families who expect multiple visits and value parking, but parents should compare those exact blocked dates with their school and work calendars.
Premium Pass: No Blockouts and Broader Benefits
The $349 Premium Pass has no blockout dates and includes entry to more than 20 participating Merlin attractions in North America. It also includes free regular parking, four Bring a Friend tickets distributed during eligible periods, one Fastrack One Shot per eligible visit and discounts of up to 20% on selected purchases.
The extra benefits sound generous, but they only have value if your family will use them. Bring a Friend tickets have booking and travel windows, and participating attractions operate under their own calendars and policies. Read the details instead of assigning full face value to every perk.
Which Pass May Fit Your Family?
Consider Standard If…
Your schedule is flexible enough to work around many blockout dates.
You expect only a few visits.
You do not need Water Park admission.
You can manage parking separately without erasing the price difference.
Consider Preferred If…
You want Water Park access.
You plan enough visits for free regular parking to matter.
You can avoid the listed September and October blocked event dates.
You may use one or more included regional attractions.
Consider Premium If…
Your family needs maximum date flexibility.
You will use the Bring a Friend tickets within their release windows.
You visit multiple Merlin attractions while traveling.
Parking and in-park discounts are benefits you will genuinely use.

Do Not Skip the Blockout Calendar
A pass is only useful when it works on the dates your family can go. Compare the official LEGOLAND blockout-date calendar with school breaks, birthdays and holiday plans before selecting a level. A cheaper pass with unusable dates is not a bargain.
Other Fine Print Parents Should Notice
Attractions, benefits and operating hours can change.
The Water Park and some seasonal attractions do not operate every day.
Discounts may exclude certain merchandise, food or premium experiences.
Bring a Friend tickets are released during specific periods and require an active eligible pass.
The passholder generally must be present when certain discounted tickets or benefits are used.

The current offer gives families a long window of use, but the best pass is not automatically the one with the longest benefit list. Start with the days you can visit, then add parking, Water Park access and guest tickets. That simple order makes the comparison much clearer.
