Winter Recess 2025-2026
The Winter Break starts on December 22, 2025, and runs through January 11, 2026, including weekends. The kids will return to school on January 12, 2026, marking the start of the second semester.
Spring Break 2026
Spring Break is from March 30, 2026, through April 3, 2026. However, Cesar E. Chavez's Birthday is observed on March 27, 2026, making spring break longer, from March 27, 2026, through April 5, 2026, if you add the weekends. The kids will return to school on April 6, 2026.
Generally, spring break for most schools in the United States, including LAUSD, falls the week before Easter.
