Yorba Linda's beloved Adventure Playground is reopening on April 22nd with an exciting new look and upgraded amenities. This newly renovated playground in Orange County promises to be a place for exploration and fun for children of all ages after a $7 million renovation!
The Adventure Playground has been a rite of passage for children growing up in Yorba Linda since the early '80s, and now, it promises to be a cherished tradition for generations to come.
So what can you expect from the new Adventure Playground? For starters, there's a 5,000-square-foot splash pad with a waterfall boulder, rocks to climb over, and water sprays that are sure to keep you cool on a hot summer day. The playground also features suspension bridges connecting three towers of a play structure, a wiffleball field, and a zipline, which now has two 100-foot lines for children to ride.
And that's not all! The Adventure Playground now boasts two water slides, including one that stretches over 170 feet, which is sure to provide an exhilarating ride for all kids (and kids at heart).
There are also bathrooms onsite, and a lot more shade is offered, making it more comfortable for families to spend the whole day at the playground. The unique spirit of freedom and creative play that makes Adventure Playground so special permeates this entire project, according to Yorba Linda Mayor Gene Hernandez. He said, "We are thrilled to see how this facility will bring imagination to life for a whole new generation."
The Adventure Playground will be open to the community throughout the year, and summer camps are already planned. Reservations for Adventure Playground Summer Camps will begin on Wednesday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. for residents only!
