Westside Ballet's The Nutcracker

Westside Ballet's Nutcracker has been a Westside holiday tradition for more than five decades, and this year marks its 53rd season. The production follows the Balanchine-inspired staging first created by company co-founder Yvonne Mounsey, with fresh set designs this season.

Westside alumna and New York City Ballet principal Tiler Peck returns as the Sugar Plum Fairy, partnered by fellow NYCB principal Roman Mejia, on Saturdays and Sundays. Young local dancers fill out the cast, which makes it extra fun for kids who take ballet themselves.

The run opens Thanksgiving weekend and wraps up the first weekend of December. A Nutcracker Tea with a behind-the-scenes tour is offered on Nov. 28 and 29.
