Night of the Jack

Night of the Jack returns to King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas for the 2026 Halloween season, turning the ranch’s scenic grounds into one of Southern California’s most magical after-dark adventures. Families follow Jack’s Trail, a self-guided, one-mile walk through more than 30 themed environments filled with hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns, larger-than-life pumpkin creations, glowing lantern art and eye-catching projection mapping.

The fun continues well beyond the trail. Jack’s Carnival brings more than 10 rides to the pre-show area, while little ones can wander through a hay maze, get their faces painted with Halloween designs and zip down a brand-new inflatable pumpkin slide. A souvenir shop stocked with spooky keepsakes and specialty candy, plenty of photo spots and The Spookeasy bar for grown-ups round out the evening.

Most families spend about 1.5 to 2 hours on the grounds. Costumes and festive Halloween outfits are encouraged, so it is a perfect chance for kids to show off this year’s look. Jack’s Trail is paved and fully accessible, while the pre-show and parking areas have uneven dirt and gravel surfaces. Strollers and small wagons are welcome, and the event runs rain or shine.

Every guest needs an advance ticket with a timed arrival window, and guests who miss their window may not be admitted or refunded. Booking early gives your family the best choice of nights and entry times.

All ages are welcome. Children under 3 receive free admission. Some carnival rides have minimum height requirements, generally 34 to 38 inches, and The Spookeasy bar is limited to guests 21 and older.

This is a paid event. Advance tickets with a timed arrival window are required for every guest.

Tickets range from $24.99 to $74.99 plus fees, with prices varying by date and arrival time. Children under 3 are free.

Group discounts: 10% off for 4+ guests (code GROUP10), 15% off for 8+ (GROUP15), 20% off for 16+ (GROUP20), 30% off for 50+ (GROUP30) and 45% off for 100+ (GROUP45).

Parking passes are sold separately, and Jack’s Carnival may require separate admission.

🍔 Food

A rotating lineup of LA food trucks serves meals and desserts, with vegan and vegetarian options available from select vendors. The Spookeasy bar offers Halloween-themed cocktails, craft beer, wine and seasonal drinks for guests 21 and older.

🚙 Parking

Parking passes must be purchased online in advance; parking passes are not sold on site. The parking lot closes at 9 pm, and buses and large camper vehicles are not permitted. Rideshare is a convenient alternative.
