Tamir Aldad discusses TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT at B&N The Grove

Barnes & Noble at The Grove welcomes psychiatrist Dr. Tamir Aldad for an evening built around his new book, Too Close for Comfort: Coping with a Dependent Loved One. The book looks at what happens when supporting a family member slowly turns into shouldering their whole life, and how caregivers can protect their own well-being while still showing up with love.

The program includes a reading from the book, an audience Q&A and a book signing with photo opportunities. Comedian and television host Howie Mandel, who wrote the book's foreword, joins as a special guest, and a panel featuring Netflix's Connor Tomlinson, autism advocate Lise Menard Smith and Layla Luna adds personal perspectives to the conversation.

This is a grown-up author talk rather than a kids' activity, and it is a natural fit for parents of children with special needs, adult children caring for aging relatives and anyone who feels stretched thin by a loved one's needs. Check-in opens at 6:00 PM at the customer service desk on the bookstore's third floor, seating is first come, first served, large bags are not allowed and each guest may bring one memorabilia item to be signed.
