Plastic pollution is threatening marine life at an alarming rate, but there’s hope! This free educational event at Manhattan Beach Library brings together the Roundhouse Aquarium and marine biologist Dr. John Dorsey to explore the urgent issue of ocean plastic pollution and the efforts being made to combat it.
Dr. Dorsey will share insights from his work with The Ocean Cleanup nonprofit, offering an eye-opening look at the impact of ocean trash and how everyone can play a part in protecting marine ecosystems. Attendees will also learn about the Roundhouse Aquarium’s conservation initiatives, including its successful efforts to remove over 75 pounds of plastic debris in 2024.
