Sunshine Social Series

Summer never really ends in Santa Monica, and the Sunshine Social Series proves it. Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. sets up community picnic tables on the Third Street Promenade every Wednesday and Saturday morning, so your family can turn a market run into a relaxed sit-down picnic in the sunshine.

Pick up fresh fruit, pastries and lemonade from the nearby farmers market, then grab a seat at the outdoor tables between Arizona Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard. The first 100 guests each day receive a Third Street Promenade tote bag and picnic tablecloth while supplies last.

Hermanito also runs a pop-up bar with ceviche and spritzes for the grown-ups (the spritzes are for guests 21 and over). Kids can people-watch, munch and enjoy the street performers who make the Promenade such a fun stroll.
