Spooky Science Night

The Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey celebrates Halloween the curious way with Spooky Science Night on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The evening mixes costumes and candy with hands-on experiments, making it a great pick for kids who love to build, mix and discover.

Families can visit a spooky robotics lab, make slime, try interactive STEM activities and watch a science show full of eye-catching demonstrations. The Girls in STEM club also hosts a Trunk or Treat, so kids can collect goodies along the way.

The space center promises there is no scary content, which makes it a comfortable choice for younger children. Costumes are welcome, and tickets cost just $5 per person.
