Sea Scare! Monsters of Myth

Cabrillo Marine Aquarium's annual Halloween night, Sea Scare, returns on Saturday, October 17, 2026, with a mythical twist. This year's Monsters of Myth theme invites families on an evening quest through dangerous waters filled with legendary creatures of the deep.

The aquarium fills with trick-or-treating stations, games and activities, arts and crafts, a live DJ and a costume contest. Braver kids can walk through a family-friendly haunted house, while younger explorers can stick to crafts and treats.

Food trucks open at 5 pm, and aquarium members get early entry at 6 pm. Costumes are encouraged, so this is a fun chance for kids to wear their Halloween outfits early.
