Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center Grand Opening

Space Shuttle Endeavour now stands upright in launch position at the California Science Center, about 20 stories tall with real boosters and an external tank, and November 13 is the first day the public can see it.

Families can ride a gantry-style lift beside the shuttle, zoom down a descent slide that mimics a shuttle landing, and flip switches in a replica flight deck. About 100 new hands-on exhibits fill galleries on aviation, the shuttle and space.
