Description
May the Force (and film nostalgia) be with you! Movies On Location is kicking off Star Wars Day with something truly special—a screening of Star Wars: A New Hope right where the magic was made. Presented by My Valley Pass, this immersive experience takes place at Neiman & Company in Van Nuys, the very site that once housed Industrial Light & Magic, the legendary special effects studio that brought the original 1977 Star Wars to life.
Before the movie rolls, fans will get a chance to geek out on guided tours of the former ILM facility—a behind-the-scenes peek into the birthplace of some of cinema’s most iconic effects. Then, once the sun sets, grab your lightsaber (or popcorn) and settle in for an epic open-air screening of the film that started it all. Costumes are encouraged, nostalgia is guaranteed, and the experience is out of this galaxy.
