Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns

More than 10,000 glowing jack-o’-lanterns turn a garden walk into an all-ages Halloween adventure.

📝 Description

Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns transforms South Coast Botanic Garden into a luminous nighttime trail filled with pumpkin artistry, oversized displays, and playful seasonal scenes. Families can explore a mile-long path where thousands of carved pumpkins glow against the garden’s natural landscape.

Along the way, visitors can discover themed installations, live entertainment, memorable photo opportunities, and a synchronized pumpkin light show. The Fun Zone adds a giant pumpkin-shaped bounce pad and oversized slides, while optional s’mores experiences give families another cozy way to enjoy the evening.

The route is outdoors and involves approximately one mile of walking, so families should wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Timed-entry tickets are required, and advance reservations are strongly recommended for popular weekend nights.
