Klara and the Sun Pop-Up

A movie-inspired celebration of friendship lands at The Grove this weekend. The Klara and the Sun Pop-Up sets up at The Park on Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10, 2026, giving families a sneak peek into the world of Sony’s upcoming film before it opens in theaters on October 23.

The star attraction is a re-creation of “The Friend Store,” the shop where Klara, the film’s artificial companion, waits to be chosen by a family. Kids and grown-ups can wander through the set, capture a memory together and take a moment to celebrate the friends and family members who make life a little brighter.

The pop-up makes an easy add-on to a day of shopping, dining or strolling at The Grove, and the Friday evening hours work well for a quick after-school outing. Parents should know that the film itself, directed by Taika Waititi and starring Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams, is rated PG-13 for thematic elements, some violence and strong language, so the movie is best for teens even though the pop-up welcomes everyone.
