Halloween STEMebration at Battleship IOWA

Battleship IOWA in San Pedro trades its usual tours for a night of hands-on science and spooky fun at the Halloween STEMebration on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Families can explore STEM-themed stations set up around the historic ship, all built around a Halloween twist.

Kids can hop between craft tables, trick-or-treat stations, and carnival-style games on deck, while local first responders host a trunk-or-treat with their vehicles. Live entertainment and a reading corner round out the evening, giving younger visitors a calmer spot to take a break between activities.

Since it lands right on Halloween night, your family can make this the main event: suit up in costumes, collect candy on a real battleship, and squeeze in a little science between treats. It's a fun, well-lit alternative to trick-or-treating door to door.
