Family Art Studio at the Skirball: Action Bubbles

The Skirball's Family Art Studio is turning into a comic book workshop this fall. Kids and grown-ups can drop in and design their own speech and action bubbles, the bold "Bam!" and "Pow!" shapes that make comic panels pop.

The project ties in with Inventing America: The Comic Book Revolution, the comic book exhibition on view at the Skirball, so it pairs perfectly with a gallery stroll. There's no set start time. Stop by the studio anytime during your visit and stay as long as the ideas keep coming.

Make a day of it with the Inventing America: The Comic Book Revolution exhibition, the Discovery Center, and the weekend Archaeology Dig, all included with admission. Noah's Ark is also on site and requires a timed-entry ticket.
