Description
Take a peaceful pause from the day and immerse yourself in Stitching Grief, Folding Memories, a thoughtful, drop-in art activity offered as part of the Suhn Lee: Memento Mori exhibition at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery. This unique experience invites visitors of all ages to reflect on memory, grief, and healing through gentle, hands-on art-making. Engage in “Embroidered Memories” by stitching your thoughts into fabric using thread, beads, and hoops, creating a personal patch that will be woven into a collaborative textile. Or, pen a message to someone you’ve lost on origami paper—each note will be folded into a delicate crane, a symbol of remembrance and peace. This is a quiet, self-paced environment designed to be meditative and deeply personal. Materials are provided, and the artist will occasionally be present to offer gentle guidance.
