Calling all bookworms, writers, and literary enthusiasts! The Culver City Book Festival is a free, community-driven event that highlights the work of local authors, publishers, and literary nonprofits. Hosted in partnership with Village Well Books & Coffee, Culver City Arts Foundation, Beyond Baroque, the Wende Museum, and El Martillo Press, this festival offers an incredible lineup of panel discussions, creative activities, and exhibitor tables showcasing indie presses and literary organizations.
Enjoy thought-provoking panels on topics like immigration, speculative fiction, and the history of Black artists in Altadena, featuring acclaimed authors and journalists, including National Book Award winner Jason de León and Pulitzer Prize winner Jesse Katz. Love fantasy and horror? Don’t miss a deep dive into the genre with bestselling authors like Olivie Blake and Chuck Tingle.
Families and young readers will also find plenty to do, with storytimes, zine-making, origami, collage workshops, and even kids' yoga! With exhibitors including 826LA, Angel City Press, Heavy Manners Library, and more, this is a must-attend event for anyone passionate about books and storytelling.
