Description
CicLAvia—Pasadena turns Colorado Boulevard and Raymond Avenue into a car-free playground for walking, rolling, biking, skating and people-watching. It is the first CicLAvia in Pasadena in 11 years, and it is free.
The 2.7-mile route runs through Old Pasadena, Playhouse Village and South Lake Avenue, with about two more miles of pop-up Slow Streets bike lanes to help families reach the route. It is not a race, so your family can hop on or off wherever you like.
Two activity hubs, at Memorial Park and at Colorado Boulevard and Allen Avenue, offer free family-friendly activities, restrooms, water-refill stations, basic bike repair and bike parking. Free pedicab rides are available at each hub's information booth.
Parent tip: organizers note this is not the best place to learn to ride, so beginners may want to practice the basics first. Strollers and walking are welcome, and only people-powered rides are allowed (no electric scooters, skateboards or hoverboards).
