Christmas Tree Lane Annual Lighting Ceremony & Winterfest

Since 1920, Altadena neighbors have gathered to light the towering deodar trees along Santa Rosa Avenue, and the 2026 ceremony keeps that tradition glowing.

Winterfest kicks off in the afternoon with artisan vendors, food trucks, live music, kids' activities and photos with Santa. Choirs, marching bands and special guests take the stage as the evening builds.

Just after dark, the crowd counts down together and more than 20,000 lights switch on, kicking off a full month of drive-through holiday magic on the Lane.
