Description

Prepare to be mesmerized as Alonzo King LINES Ballet takes the stage with a powerful tribute to the legendary Alice Coltrane and the whimsical world of Maurice Ravel’s Ma mère l’Oye (Mother Goose). King’s electrifying choreography breathes new life into Coltrane’s groundbreaking compositions, including Journey in Satchidananda, A Monastic Trio, and Universal Consciousness, celebrating her lasting impact on jazz and spiritual music.

But the magic doesn’t stop there. In a fresh collaboration with the San Francisco Symphony, King reimagines Ma mère l’Oye, peeling back the layers of these classic fairy tales to reveal their deeper allegorical meanings. With breathtaking movement, stunning visuals, and an unparalleled connection between music and dance, this performance promises an unforgettable night of artistry and emotion.
