Absolutely Halloween!

Santa Monica Playhouse brings back Absolutely Halloween!, its family-friendly Halloween musical, for weekend matinees throughout October 2026. It's a longtime local tradition made for little theatergoers who love costumes and candy far more than scares.

Expect catchy songs, colorful characters and plenty of giggles, all performed close enough that even the youngest audience members feel part of the fun. It's a gentle introduction to live theater and a great excuse to wear that costume a few extra times before October 31.

Parent tip: Saturday shows start at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday shows at 12:30 p.m., so plan snacks around showtime, and book early if you're eyeing the final weekend before Halloween.
