2026 Heritage Festival

The City of Montebello throws one of its biggest hometown celebrations of the year when the Heritage Festival takes over Montebello City Park for three days in October. The festival honors the traditions, cultures and community pride that shape Montebello, and it packs the park with carnival rides, games, live entertainment and plenty of tasty food.

Sunday is the big day. The morning kicks off early with the Heritage Run, which offers a 10K, a 5K, a free Kids 1K for runners ages 10 and under, and a new Top Dog Division that lets families bring their four-legged running buddy along for the 5K. Next comes the annual Heritage Festival Parade rolling down Whittier Boulevard with colorful floats, marching bands and local community groups, so grab a spot early.

After the parade, the party moves back to the park from noon until 9:00 PM with main-stage concerts, cultural performances, carnival rides and games, food vendors and an artisan and craft marketplace. Kids will head straight for the midway, while parents can browse local vendors and soak up the music.

Admission to the festival is free, which makes it an easy and affordable outing for your family. A beer garden is part of the festivities for adults, and a free shuttle helps reduce parking headaches on Sunday.

The Kids 1K is open to children ages 10 and under.

Festival admission is free. Free RSVP tickets are available through the City of Montebello's Eventbrite page.

Carnival rides, games and food are paid separately.

Heritage Run registration: 10K $30, 5K $30, Top Dog Division $35, and Kids 1K free (ages 10 and under). Race registration closes the morning of October 11, 2026.

Food vendors and food trucks will be on site, and the festival also includes a beer garden for adults.

🚙 Parking

A free shuttle runs on Sunday, October 11, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with pickups at Montebello City Hall, Chet Holifield Park and Montebello Intermediate School.
