Department of Recreation and Parks plays an important role in our kids education by providing variety of kids classes, among classes for adults and seniors, that are not only affordable, they are educational, keep kids out of trouble, active, and most importantly away from screens!
One of the Recreation Centers in Los Angeles that offer so many wonderful classes for kids and adults is Westwood Recreation Center, and they have announced schedule of their Winter Classes. Registration is open now for Winter Classes, and classes start the week of January 6, 2020.
Among Winter Classes for kids at Westwood Recreation Center are Ballet, Gymnastics, Kids N' Clay, Paint & Brushes, Parent & Me (Mommy & Me), Karate, and High Five Basketball. Westwood Recreation Center also offers Soccer Clinic, and Volleyball Clinic for Winter 2020.
Parent & Me Classes are offered for kids 1.5 to 2.5 or 2.5 to 4 years old, and start at $80 for 8 week sessions or $100 for 10 sessions. Preschool Gymnastics, Beginning Gymnastics, and advanced Gymnastics are also offered at $100 for 8 weeks of classes.
One of our favorites at Westwood Recreation Center is Kids Yoga & Mediation Classes which are offered this winter for $120 for 10 week sessions. Classes are offered for kids 5 to 7 or 8 to 12.
Another favorite is Karate Academy for kids 4 to 6 or 5 to 7 for $100 for 10 weeks. Advanced Karate is also offered for kids 17 & under.
