Toys R Us has been around since 1957 and was the first major toy store chain in America. They closed all of their stores in 2018, but now they're bringing them back for the holidays but not the way you remember them! Find out what they have planned for their return!
All Macy's stores across the country will include an in-store Toys R Us and be stocked with toys from the storied brand starting late July through October 15th, just in time for the holidays.
In addition to stocking the shelves with toys, the new Toys R Us locations will feature a play area where kids can enjoy some quality family time. Macy's plans to offer new toys and a life-size Geoffrey giraffe photo opportunity among other things. You can also Expect tons of colorful fixtures boasting the best toys around.
At Macy's locations in Los Angeles and other parts of the country, the toy stores will range in size from 1,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet. During the peak holiday season, the Toys 'R' Us footprint may expand.
Families can take part in daily giveaways from big brands like LEGO and Barbie from Oct. 15 through Oct. 23 and have fun with lots of family-friendly activities.
