The Ocean Institute on Dana Point hosts the Tall Ships Festival for the 34th year. You get to tour real, working tall ships, and experience interactive living history encampments, sea chanteys concerts, cannon battles at sea, an arts and crafts show, a boat parade, and more. Friday evening, before the start of the festival proper, the ships sail as a parade at sunset.

A master chef steams up live Maine lobsters at this fun festival while you get entertained with live music on two stages, a dance floor, and arts and crafts booths. You may continue to enjoy the Aquarium after it opens to the general public.
