The Halloween Carnival at Malibu Bluffs Park is a free event designed for children ages 2-10. The fun includes carnival rides, bounce houses, art activities, games, face painting, food trucks, and more. Trunk-or-treating will happen between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm with a giveaway. (Free but some activities require tickets)

This Friday is the 3rd annual contest and DJ Dance party at Redondo Beach, This free event features free boat rides, DJ Selfie Wall, Sponsor Giveaways, music, trick-or-treating on the Boardwalk and Pier, and more.

Discovery Cube’s Spooky Science resident monsters are teaming up to lead you on the Great Haunt – a special tour through Discovery Cube’s exhibits. The Monster Academy map of the Cube will guide you through a set of riddles and lead you to where each clue is located. If you solve the mystery, you will get your own special treat!

Nights Of The Jack is an interactive, family friendly Halloween experience. Vast grounds of intricately hand-carved and illuminated jack o’lanterns will amaze you as you make your way through the half-mile trail around King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas. This Halloween wonderland features a live pumpkin carver, gift shop, top LA food trucks, and "The Spookeasy Bar", serving specially crafted Halloween cocktails, and tons of other “Instagrammable” moments for all to enjoy!

Storybook Theatre's version of Beatrix Potter’s classic tale is hopping into Theatre West this Fall. As always at Storybook, there will be plenty of audience participation and singing and dancing. You can even expect audience members to join in a special version of “The Bunny Hop.” This funny version is specifically created to appeal to children and the whole family.

This weekend, the Aquarium of the Pacific becomes the Scarium of the Pacific. Get into the Halloween spirit with a children’s costume contest, arts and crafts, storytelling, face painting, and magic shows. There will be underwater pumpkin carving and a chance to learn about “eerie animals” in the Great Hall. Activities are included in the price of general Aquarium admission.

Union Station transforms into “Boo-nion Station” this weekend for a family-friendly event that features a mystical Halloween Village and delightfully devilish activities for kids. There will also be a costume contest, a “Monster Mash Dance Party,” food trucks, and more. Check the website for details.

Heal the Bay Aquarium hosts Fishy Fest this weekend to celebrate Halloween and Día de los Muertos. Create holiday crafts and masks, enjoy face painting and spooky stories, explore the marine animal artifact graveyard, experience a glow-in-the-dark deep-sea experience, and more. A costume parade and trick-or-treating will be held during Sunday’s event. Check the website for a schedule of activities.

Starting this weekend, you can enjoy the spooktacular Halloween season at Knott’s Spooky Farm, a family-friendly Halloween celebration geared for kids ages 3-11. Little ghouls can trick-or-treat through Ghost Town to collect sweet Halloween treats. Camp Snoopy Theater plays host to the “Monsters are Coming” show where children are encouraged to participate in the daily costume contest and much more.


The Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round will be hosting a Roaring Twenties Speakeasy Party with a Vintage Cirque Sideshow. There will be a talented cast of eccentric performers along with other DJ entertainment and live music by Holy Crow Jazz Band. Other highlights include merry-go-round rides, strolling performers, cirque games, dance exhibitions, and more.
