Our list of fun things to do in Los Angeles this weekend includes Hot Wheel Garage, Street Food Cinema, 6th Annual SoCal Great Big Family Play Day, Auto Show, and much more!

Friday May 31st, 2019


Round Up at L.A. LIVE - Round up your friends and family on May 31st and enjoy several free outdoor activities including cornhole, live music, line dancing, country-themed vendors, and more! Take advantage of this unique spring night which also features $5 food & drink menus at participating L.A. LIVE restaurants! All activities are free and open to the public from 6pm to late night. Grab your cowboy boots and head down to L.A. LIVE!


Grand Central Market - Hop on board with Friday Night Flights every Friday starting at 12 pm and enjoy a special flight of drinks or bites plus a round trip ticket on the historic Angels Flight Railway for $15.


Final Fridays - The Greens at the Rose Bowl hosts Final Fridays, a family friendly event happening this Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm. Bring a blanket, ball, and enjoy live music curated by Ninety3Impact in Pasadena’s premiere 5-star park. Additional activities to include foot golf, outdoor games, moon bounces, photo opportunities, and tours of the Rose Bowl Stadium.


Hershey Felder: A Paris Love Story - Hershy Felder returns to the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts with Hershey Felder: A Paris Love Story. Felder will take you on a journey into the life and music of Impressionist composer Claude Debussy. The show runs May 24 through June 16. Not recommended for kids 12 and under.


14th Annual Lummis Days - Lummis Days celebrates the arts, history and ethnic diversity of Northeast Los Angeles through educational and cultural events and an annual festival that draws the community together for a shared experience while providing a platform for cooperation among people of all ages and backgrounds. This event is happening from May 31st through June 2nd.

Saturday June 1st, 2019


25th Annual Gilmore Heritage Auto Show - The Original Farmers Market, Los Angeles will host 25th annual Gilmore Heritage Auto show this Saturday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. This years theme is Roar with Gilmore, a Tribute to American Muscle Cars and The Joy of Horsepower. This event is free and open to public.


Hot Wheels Garage - The Automobile Driving Museum is hosting a monthly Hot Wheels Garage this Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. You will see life-size Hot Wheels cars, participate in art projects, enjoy face painting, a balloon artist, racing, games, and more. Admission is free for children 10 and under.


Street Food Cinema - Enjoy screening of Crazy Rich Asians at LA Arboretum this Friday. This contemporary romantic comedy, based on a global bestseller, follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu to Singapore to meet her boyfriend’s family. This movie is Rated PG-13. The doors open at 5:30, enjoy live music at 6:30 pm, and the movie starts at 8:30 pm.


Pico Block Party and Artisan Marketplace - This special event features fun for the whole family, and celebrates local Santa Monica artists and artisans. Enjoy an Artisan Marketplace, art-making workshops, exhibitions, performances, food trucks, and much more. This event is free but you need to RSVP online for free tickets.  The event is from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.


Popup On the Pier - Smorgasburg LA will team up with the first ever SaMo PRIDE for a day of celebrating diversity and getting a taste of some of the best of Smorgasburg vendors right on the Santa Monica Pier this Friday. This event is from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm and is free to public.


OutPost Los Angeles - Join LA’s premier cultural festival celebrating the music, food, drink, art, products, and immersive experiences that make Los Angeles so special. This event starts at 12 pm this Saturday at LA Art District.


Coastal Cleanup Day at the Sand Pedro Aquarium - It’s time to give back to the beaches by helping keep them clean.  Spend Saturday morning enjoying the coast while helping the environment. This event is free and open to public.


Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum kicks off their summer 2019 season this Saturday with a performance of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and continue through Sunday with a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.


Saturday Summer BBQs - 6th & La Brea will hosts Saturday Summer BBQs starting this Saturday from 1:00 pm to 6 pm. Stop in for some fine grilling (vegan available), games and more.

6th Annual SoCalMoms Great Big Family Play Day - This family festival and expo will feature all day live entertainment, interactive experiences for kids, food, products, freebies, raffles and much much more. New this year is the Dino Encounters area plus Main Stage Show! There’s an Interactive & educational Dino Show, Dino Dig, Dino Puzzles, Dino swag, Photo/Ops, Dino rides and more!


Agility Workshop - This Sunday Annenberg PetSpace will host an Agility Workshop for your dog. The one hour class will have an obstacle course with jumps, tunnels and pause tables.


Barnsdall Art Sundays - Barnsdall Art Park invites you to participate in a free, family-friendly art workshops. Each workshop focuses on a global culture and different media are explored each week. All materials are provided. The event is from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
