Tacotopia is a larger than life playground presented by Cholula Hot Sauce, a hybrid amusement park and Taco Festival all rolled up into a funky, Tacotastic, immersive exhibit. The imaginative experience is fun for all ages, and for all the non-taco lovers out there, if that exists, there are plenty of swoon worthy photo opportunities throughout the exhibit that aren’t tacocentric. The space features more than twenty-five unique environments with larger-than-life installations ranging from the Goddess of Tacos to an oversized bowl of Guac in the Guac is Extra installation.

This is one of the most anticipated events for families with little kids! This free event features garbage trucks and equipment demonstrations in addition to facility tours, information booths, recycling games, and refreshments. All children receive a special hat at registration and have the opportunity to operate the controls on the trucks. Parents go home with free shade trees and vegetable plants. There is no charge for admission and all ages are welcome. Free food, beverages, and giveaways are available while supplies last. Register online. (Free)

Leimert Park Day of the Ancestor Festival of the Mask began 8 years ago with the aim to create a multigenerational event where people could come together to honor ancestors, share information and culture from West Africa and the Diaspora. The Festival features Blessing and then a Procession featuring Drumming, Dance, Masks, and Giant Puppets followed by Performances of Drumming, Dance, Mask Dance, Queen Mothers, and local cultural performance groups.
