Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is one of the most significant literary events. Join 150,000 attendees at USC’s campus over this weekend for an exceptional entertainment on the USC Stage (near Tommy Trojan) and lively discussions with renowned USC faculty.
They also host a family programs, book giveaways, and health screenings via the USC Communities Tent and the USC Health Pavilion. There is a Book Prize Ceremony on Friday, April 12th at 7 p.m., and the Festival takes place on Saturday, April 13 between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sunday, April 14th between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking in various USC-area parking lots is available for $12. Proving to be a monster hit with audiences, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is coming to Pantages Theatre in Hollywood this weekend. Willy Wonka is the most famous candy maker in the world, an eccentric confectioner whose sugary treats are works of genius. Yet he is a total recluse, and no one else in the world has ever stepped foot inside his famous chocolate factory. That is until a contest is announced - five golden tickets have been hidden away inside five Wonka chocolate bars, and whoever finds them will be led on a tour of the factory by the mysterious Mr. Wonka himself.
