Butterflies are taking flight at NHM! Get up close to beautiful butterflies in the new Butterfly Pavilion. This seasonal exhibit features more flight space, more resting spots, and more natural light. There will be hundreds of free-flying butterflies inside, and the awesome Gallery Interpreters who can explain why these animals are so special.

Spend an evening with your favorite animal friends after hours aboard Noah’s Ark. Wear your PJs (adults, too!), play with puppets, tell stories, and make new friends. Enjoy a tasty dinner together and have loads of fun! ($35 General/$25 Members)

Join writer Ken Foster and photographer Traer Scott for an illustrated discussion of the role dogs play in building community in city lives. In addition to dog talk, Foster and Scott will offer anecdotes about the creative process as they collaborated on their new book City of Dogs. This event is free and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, but you need to register online to reserve a spot.

Marine Aquarium presents special evening program this Saturday night to introduce you to the unique and elusive grunion. Watch silvery fish come up on the beach to spawn! The ArtWalk is a fun-filled day of artistic exploration. You are invited to watch art and ceramic demonstrations, participate in art and theater workshops, and enjoy live music and food trucks. The Airport has a rich history as the former home of the Douglas Aircraft Company and the birthplace of the DC-3 and is now home to over 60 artists and a number of creative venues.
