Witch Way to the Polls Walkathon for Voters Rights

Witch Way to the Polls brings a dash of Halloween magic and a big dose of community spirit to Griffith Park. The League of Women Voters Pasadena Area, joined by the League of Women Voters of Greater Los Angeles, hosts this 5K walk and run to support voter education and the right to vote, and families are encouraged to make it a festive morning out.

Participants choose their own pace. Speedy runners can chase a podium finish, while families can stroll the course with friends or push a stroller from start to finish. Kids can look forward to music, face painting, games and candy, which makes the event feel more like a neighborhood fall party than a serious race.

Costumes are strongly encouraged, and the organizers hand out cash prizes for the most creative, cutest, scariest, funniest and best group looks. Top male and female finishers also earn cash awards. Since children 13 and under participate free, it is an easy way for your family to celebrate Halloween season, get some fresh air and talk with kids about why voting matters.

Check-in opens an hour before the 9:00 AM start, so plan to arrive early, especially if your crew needs time for costume touch-ups.
