Westside Food Bank 36th Annual 5K Hunger Walk

Westside Food Bank's 36th Annual 5K Hunger Walk returns to Ocean View Park in Santa Monica, inviting families, friends and coworkers to walk together in support of neighbors facing hunger across Los Angeles County. Registration is free, and the event is designed to be welcoming for walkers of every age.

The afternoon starts with check-in and a pre-walk expo full of festivities before the group sets off on the 5K route. Every walker receives a T-shirt and a swag bag, and volunteers help run a Family Fun Zone that gives younger kids something extra to look forward to.

Participants can walk on their own, join a team or set up a personal fundraising page to collect donations for the food bank. It is a meaningful way to show kids how a community can come together, and the seaside setting near the beach makes for a pleasant Sunday outing.
