Spend your Sundays exploring the wonders of the sea with the Children’s Maritime Institute at Pine Avenue Pier! Weekend Wonders & Shoreline Sail offers a unique chance to step aboard the Official Tall Ship of Long Beach, the American Pride, for an unforgettable maritime experience.
From 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., enjoy free deck tours and interactive lessons on fascinating maritime topics—perfect for curious minds of all ages. No sign-up is required, just step aboard and start learning! Then, at 3:30 p.m., the real adventure begins with Shoreline Sail, where you can help the crew hoist the sails and cruise through Long Beach Harbor. Bring a picnic, soak in the ocean breeze, and enjoy a two-hour sailing experience like no other.
Whether you're a history buff, a future sailor, or just looking for a fun and educational way to spend the weekend, this event is a must. Don't forget—there's no public sail on Feb. 23, so plan accordingly!
