If you’re looking for something magical, musical, and downright joyful to do with the kiddos, Vasthy and Friends at Santa Monica Playhouse is calling your name! This interactive theatre adventure is led by none other than Vasthy Mompoint—an eight-time Broadway star with credits like The Prom, SpongeBob, and Mary Poppins. Think Sesame Street meets Broadway and Mr. Rogers meets musical theatre, with live performances, virtual moments, and all the singing, dancing, and giggling your heart can handle. Designed for kids and grown-ups to enjoy together, this one-of-a-kind show blends music, dance, poetry, and plenty of playful energy. The event is part of the Playhouse’s Black History [every] Month series, celebrating Black artists and stories all year long. Bonus: there’s a goody bag waiting for you at the end—because who doesn’t love a little extra surprise?
