Tree Lighting with Friends

Friends Church Yorba Linda and Friends Christian School are opening up their campus for Tree Lighting with Friends, a free Christmas celebration that kicks off the season in north Orange County. The evening is built for families, with plenty of hands-on fun for kids before the big moment arrives. It is an easy, budget-friendly holiday outing that works for toddlers, grade schoolers and grandparents alike.

Kids can burn off energy in real snow, bounce through inflatables, decorate cookies and get their faces painted while parents soak up the festive atmosphere. As the night goes on, the crowd gathers for live music and a short Christmas message before the tree lights up at 7 p.m. Little ones who love a countdown will be thrilled when the branches start to glow.

Dinner is easy, too, since TK Burger and Chick-fil-A will be on site selling food. Bring a warm layer for the kids, since evenings cool off quickly in December, and plan to arrive early if your family wants plenty of time in the snow area before the lighting ceremony. It is a cheerful, community-centered way for your family to welcome the holidays in Yorba Linda.
