Tina's Pumpkin Patch

Tina's Pumpkin Patch pops up every October in a parking lot at Westfield Fashion Square, turning a corner of Sherman Oaks into a festive field of orange. Families can wander rows of pumpkins in every size, from palm-sized minis to hefty carving giants, along with colorful gourds, corn stalks and hay bales that set the mood for Halloween.

Little ones usually head straight for the animals. The petting zoo is open every day of the season, and pony rides run on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and all day Friday through Sunday. A small train ride, a bounce house, a slide and an obstacle course keep the energy going, and the straw maze is free to explore, which makes it a favorite for preschoolers and early elementary kids.

Because admission and parking are free, your family can stop by for a quick photo session and a pumpkin pick, or stay longer and add a few rides. The patch is open late into the evening all season, so it works for an after-school visit or a relaxed weekend outing in the Valley. Schools can also book weekday field trips, and the patch hosts birthday parties by appointment.

The petting zoo, pony rides, train, bounce house and straw maze are best suited to toddlers, preschoolers and younger school-age kids.

Admission is free.

Pumpkins are priced individually.

Activities are paid individually: pony ride $8; petting zoo $4; animal food $1; train ride $4; bouncer $4; slide $4; obstacle course $4.

The straw maze is free.

School group field trips (Monday – Friday) and parties can be booked by calling 818-990-2571; pricing depends on the activities chosen.
