Race to Cure Sarcoma Los Angeles

Race to Cure Sarcoma Los Angeles brings runners, walkers, survivors and supporters together in Griffith Park to raise awareness and research funding for sarcoma, a rare cancer of the bone and soft tissue. Organized by the Sarcoma Foundation of America, the morning blends a community run with a heartfelt celebration of patients, families and the people they have lost.

Participants can choose a timed or untimed 5K run, or take it easy on a one-mile walk. Kids ages 6 to 12 have their own registration category, strollers and wheelchairs are welcome on the course, and leashed dogs can come along too. Race morning kicks off with packet pickup, an opening ceremony and a survivor ceremony, and music plus kids' activities fill the time before and after the race.

After the finish, the closing ceremony honors top finishers, fundraisers and teams. Guests are invited to bring a copy of a photo or a note for the Wall of Hope and Remembrance. Many families form teams and fundraise together, which makes this a meaningful way to show kids how a community can rally for a cause. The event goes on rain or shine.

All ages are welcome.

Children ages 6 to 12 register in a youth category. Strollers are welcome, so younger children can come along with their families.

🎟️ Tickets/Price

Adult registration (5K run or 1-mile walk): $35.

Child registration (ages 6 to 12): $10.

Prices increase to $45 for adults and $15 for children on November 9, 2026.

Same-day registration is available on site from 7:00 AM for $45 (adult) and $15 (child), paid by credit card through the event page. Cash and checks are not accepted on site.

Same-day registrants are not guaranteed a T-shirt.

A virtual option is also available for those who cannot attend in person.
